Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 18, 2026
This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. We try to keep it short and human.
1. What we collect
When you visit the site:
- Anonymous browser data — IP address, device type, browser, country.
- Behavior — pages visited, time on page, click events (via Google Analytics 4).
- Ad attribution — referrer URLs, click IDs (
fbclid), and cookies that help us measure which ads work (Meta Pixel:_fbp,_fbc).
When you buy:
- Your email and name (entered at checkout via ThriveCart).
- Country and any tax-relevant information.
- Order details (what you bought, amount, date).
What we don't see: Your full card number or banking details. Those are handled directly by Stripe through ThriveCart and never touch our systems.
2. How we use it
- To deliver the product you bought.
- To measure our ad campaigns and optimize the landing page.
- To send buyer-only emails (product updates, occasional new releases).
- To retarget visitors who didn't buy (via Meta and Google ads).
- To comply with legal and tax obligations.
3. Third parties we share data with
We use trusted services to operate the business:
- ThriveCart — checkout and order management.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Notion — product delivery.
- Vercel — site hosting.
- Google Analytics — site analytics.
- Google Ads — ad campaigns and retargeting.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — Pixel and Conversions API (server-side conversion events sent for ad attribution).
Each of these has its own privacy policy. By using our site, you also accept their data practices.
4. Cookies
The site uses a few cookies. The main ones:
_ga— Google Analytics, anonymous visitor tracking._fbp,_fbc— Meta Pixel, ad attribution._eid,_extid— internal event IDs used to deduplicate browser and server-side conversion events.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so won't break the site, but it may affect analytics and ad accuracy.
5. Email
We may email buyers with product updates, occasional new releases, or important announcements. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe.
6. Your rights
You can:
- Request a copy of the data we have on you.
- Ask us to delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements like tax records).
- Opt out of marketing emails at any time.
- Opt out of ad retargeting via your browser, device settings, or the relevant ad platform.
To exercise any of these, email charlie@madebycharlie.co. We'll respond within 30 days.
7. Retention
Buyer data (email, name, purchase record) is retained for as long as required by tax and accounting law — typically seven years. Anonymous analytics data follows Google's defaults, usually 14 months.
8. Children
This site and product aren't intended for anyone under 16. If you're a parent or guardian and believe we've collected data on a child, email us and we'll delete it.
9. International transfers
Data may be processed in the United States or in other countries where our service providers operate. By using the site, you consent to this transfer.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Material changes will be flagged at the top of this page with an updated date.
